What should be the criteria for finding a wedding photographer?

It is important to choose someone you like and with whom you are completely at ease. Find a photographer whose work you connect with and love. They should be well versed and adept in their style.

What makes Winfield and Karen unique?

We feel personal attention is very important and we like to keep in close contact with our clients to form a good relationship with them before the wedding. Our couples receive more extensive coverage because of our combined imagery. There is so much happening on your wedding day that one photographer cannot possibly be in two places at once.

Where are you located and do you charge travel fees?

We are located at 21650 Milsa Dr, across from the Dominion Country Club on IH10 West in San Antonio, Texas. Outside of a 100 mile radius, we would require expense only for accommodations, and transportation. Map to studio

Do you photograph “formals” or group shots? Do you want me to provide a list of “must have” photographs?

Unless you request otherwise, we do photograph the standard groups of the wedding party, family and bride & groom. It’s an important part of recording your family history at your wedding. But it is just a small portion. We work quickly and can get it done in a short amount of time when it’s well organized. We do not need a long list of “must have” photographs. But we would like you to specify anything special that you want, which may include you with someone you are especially close to (that is not in the wedding party or immediate family). Of course we like to know about anything unusual or unique to your wedding.

What type equipment do you use?

We only use the latest Professional Canon SLR Cameras. Our inventory consists of a variety of nine sophisticated Canon lenses, set of Quantum remote lighting, Arri and Tota tungsten light. Canon is the leader in Camera Body and Lenses.

What type of albums do you offer?

We use Leather Craftsmen. Incorporating learned skills from a fifth generation custom bookbinder, combined with the use of the finest quality materials, Leather Craftsmen has been producing wedding albums for close to 60 years. We now offer Coffee Table Books and Traditional Matted Albums.

How far advanced are you booked? How do we book you?

Certain times of the year book more than a year in advance. Also, particular dates are more popular than others. We photograph a select number of weddings a year in order to maintain a high level of service and deliver the photographs in a few short months. Please call us for availability. A retainer fee of $600 is required to secure your date and will be applied towards your balance. At the time of booking us we will send you our contract. We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. The rest of the balance is due 14 days before the wedding.
